The Grey Seal Conservation Society (GCSC) is a non-profit organization, formed in April, 2004, to oppose the proposed new grey seal hunt in Nova Scotia, Canada.
   
High North Alliance
High North Alliance
The High North Alliance was founded in 1991 as a result of cooperation by the Lofoten Regional Council and the Norwegian Whalers’ Union. The organisation was established in response to the campaigns calling for a total ban on all commercial whaling and sealing; and the even more radical ones calling for a total ban on the killing of marine mammals for any reason whatsoever.
   
JNNC Joint Nature Conservation Committee (UK)
"JNCC is the public body that advises the UK Government and devolved administrations on UK-wide and international nature conservation. Our work helps maintain and enrich biological diversity and conserve geological features. It also helps sustain natural systems, which provide the core “services” we all depend on like food, fresh water and clean air. In this way they contribute to economic growth and social well-being and are integral to sustainable development."
   
North Atlantic Marine Mammal Commission North Atlantic Marine Mammal Commission - NAMMC
The North Atlantic Marine Mammal Commission is an international body for cooperation on the conservation, management and study of marine animals in the north Atlantic. NAMMCO provides a mechanism for cooperation on conservation and management for all species of cetaceans (whales and dolphins) and pinnipeds (seals and walruses) in the region

Marine Conservation
Volunteer Compass is a professional organization specializing in the field of Marine Conservation. Through our contacts we are invited and offered to participate in projects around the world that need help. Projects that involve animals such as dolphons, whales, seals, sealions, porpoise and projects centred around coral protection and conservation.
Wildlife Conservation
Volunteer Compass work with numerous grass-roots NGOs, voluntary sector groups, conservation parks, institutes and professional bodies placing volunteers within conservation projects; supporting and protecting animals such as pandas, lions, tigers, birds, elephants and big game.
Where do our volunteers come from?
Volunteer Compass' volunteers come from all walks of life and from all over the globe - just to volunteer on worthwhile and ethical projects. Volunteers come from countries such as England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland (Eire), USA, Canada, France, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and all over Europe.
What do our volunteers do as a 'day job'?
Our volunteers have one passion - and that is to volunteer their time, expertise and efforts in helping Marine or Wildlife projects. We have Managers, gap year students, Professionals, bankers, school teachers, scuba divers, retired people, lawyers, factory workers, university students, housewives, social workers, archaeologists, builders, electricians, computer experts and many more people from diverse backgrounds joining our projects. Whatever your background, it will be easy to place you on a project that you will be proud of.
